IAR's Jami Philbrick Hosts a Special 'Transit' Screening and Q&A

If you live in Los Angeles and have plans for this Saturday, May 12th that don't involve seeing Transit, then you're going to want to cancel those obviously inferior plans in order to put your butt in a seat for Transit at the Chinese 6 Theatres on Hollywood Boulevard.

Angelinos know that there are innumerable benefits to living in the City of Angels, from consistently perfect weather to excellent food to famous beaches, but a less-remarked-upon perk of residing here is the preponderance of unique screenings of films both new and familiar.  This Saturday, IAR Managing Editor and all-around swell guy Jami Philbrick hosts a special screening of Transit at the Chinese.

Transit – starring Jim Caviezel, Diora Baird, Harold Perrineau, Elisabeth Röhm, James Frain, and Sterling Knight – is the latest release from After Dark Action, the subset of After Dark Films devoted to creating original, unabashed action thrillers.

The film's theatrical release is scheduled for this Friday, May 11th.  The special screening takes place at 7:50 pm, where Jami Philbrick will introduce the feature, and following the show, he'll moderate a Q&A session with director Antonio Negret, as well as stars Diora Baird and Elisabeth Röhm.  While Philbrick will discuss the film with those esteemed guests, attendees will also have the opportunity to ask the director and stars their own questions.

You can purchase tickets at Movetickets.com by clicking right here.

The official synopsis for Transit sums the film up thusly:

The family camping trip was meant to reunite the Sidwell family. It’s not. After being imprisoned for tax evasion, Nate Sidwell has lost the respect of his wife and his children. Then when he suspects their truck is being followed, he gets arrested for aggressive driving and has to spend a night in jail. Just when it seems the trip cannot get any worse, the Sidwells discover $4,000,000 cash in their luggage rack, and that Nate was wrong. They aren’t being followed. They’re being hunted – by four ruthless killers, who will stop at nothing to retrieve their millions.

So pick up tickets for the special Transit screening hosted by Jami Philbrick at 7:50 this Saturday, May 12th.
