Much was made of the poster, which rather awkwardly – some folks say unintentionally hilariously – presented Bella, Edward, and Jacob running across a snowy plain.
On an international poster released over the weekend, Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, and Taylor Lautner were in a more familiar, less physically-draining line-up, but for the banner, we're right back into running mode.
This time, however, we can see that the Cullens and their werewolf allies are running towards the villainous Volturi, adorned in conspicuous winter wear. So thanks to IMP Awards, we now have a more thorough mental image of the Photoshopped combat about to ensue.
The story, adapting the second half of Stephenie Meyer's final novel in the series, finds Bella adjusting to her new status as a vampire and a mother when the Volturi are misinformed that young Renesmee is a strictly forbidden "immortal child," a kid who is turned vampiric rather than born into blood-sucking. Armed with bad intel, the Volturi head to Forks with murder on their collective mind, but when they arrive, they find the Cullens have assembled a sort of posse to ensure their survival.
The ensemble cast is pretty huge and surrounds the central trio with the likes of Michael Sheen, Dakota Fanning, Peter Facinelli, Ashley Green, Billy Burke, Lee Pace, Kellan Lutz, Mackenzie Foy, Nikki Reed, Elizabeth Reaser, Jackson Rathbone, Maggie Grace, Christian Serratos, Booboo Stewart, Julia Jones, and Rami Malek.
The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2 concludes the series on November 16th.
