Not to be confused with Antoine Fuqua's Olympus Has Fallen, White House Down is the latest endeavor from director Roland Emmerich, who really found his blowing-stuff-up niche with Independence Day way back in 1996 then continued blowing stuff up in Godzilla, The Day After Tomorrow, The Patriot, 10,000 B.C., and 2012.
After blowing up virtually nothing in last year's William Shakespeare authorial-conspiracy drama Anonymous, Emmerich is back on explosion duty. White House Down stars Jamie Foxx as the president and Channing Tatum as an aspiring Secret Service agent who becomes the president's only hope when the White House is suddenly under siege. Maggie Gyllenhaal fills out the main cast a Secret Service Agent. Supporting roles will be played by Richard Jenkins and Lance Reddick.
These images, which debuted in the print edition of Entertainment Weekly and made their way online thanks to HeyUGuys, reveal some info-nuggets about the movie. The Die Hard connection is made more on-the-nose by Tatum's character being something of a fish-out-of-water, a normal cop who happens to be interviewing for a Secret Service position when the action goes down. Also, he wears a dirty white undershirt, John McClane-style

White House Down is currently scheduled to arrive in theaters nationwide on June 28, 2013.
