'21 and Over' Theatrical Trailer: A Birthday Gone Horribly Right

Prepare yourself for some gleeful bad behavior and unparalleled onscreen partying, because Relativity Media has released the first theatrical trailer for 21 and Over, the upcoming comedy that turns a rite of passage into an unhinged nighty of debauchery and alcohol-soaked misadventure.

The film stars Justin Chon of Twilight as Jeff Chang, an upstanding straight-A college student whose twenty-first birthday happens to fall on the eve of a crucial medical school interview.  Jeff's plan to stay in for the night is derailed by the surprise appearance of his two oldest friends, Miller and Casey, played by Miles Teller and Skylar Astin of the Footloose remake and Pitch Perfect, respectively.  The two convince Jeff to indulge in just one beer, but that single drink turns into a night that could endanger Jeff's future but will live forever in partying infamy.

Produced by Ryan Kavanugh and David Hoberman, with Tucker Tooley, Jason Felts, Luo Yan, and David Manpearl as executive producers, 21 and Over marks a big moment for a duo familiar with cinematic debauchery.  Jon Lucas and Scott Moore, the writers behind one of the most successful comedies ever released, The Hangover, make their feature directorial debut here, working from their own screenplay.

Here's the official synopsis:

Skylar Astin (Pitch Perfect, Miles Teller (Footloose) and Justin Chon (Twilight) star in 21 AND OVER, a hilarious movie that showcases a rite of passage gone horribly wrong. Straight-A college student Jeff Chang has always done what’s expected of him. But when his two best friends Casey and Miller surprise him with a visit for his 21st birthday, he decides to do the unexpected for a change, even though his critical medical school interview is early the next morning. What was supposed to be one beer becomes one night of chaos, over indulgence and utter debauchery in this outrageous comedy.

21 and Over is set to bring the party to theaters across the county on March 1, 2013.

Full disclosure: 21 and Over is produced by Relativity Media, iamROGUE's parent company.
