Rogues, we here at IAR are well aware that you enjoy a new poster.  Knowing that, we make it a point to share the latest and best one sheets with you on the regular, but every once in a while, we have the opportunity to share an exclusive poster premiere.

Every once in a while, it turns out, is today, since we have the exclusive first look at the inaugural Stand Off poster.

The film is an action-packed thriller of the white-knuckle variety, and it's the latest feature from director Terry George, director who won an Oscar last year on account of his short film The Shore.  In addition to earning accolades for that live-action short, George is the writer-director behind Hotel Rwanda and Reservation Road, as well the screenwriter of In the Name of the Father and Hart's War.

Here, he tackles a new genre and has a game cast to tell the Stand Off story.  The film stars Brendan Fraser (The Mummy, Extraordinary Measures) and Colm Meaney (Layer Cake, Miles O'Brien on Star Trek: The Next Generation and Star Trek: Deep Space Nine), along with David O'Hara (Contraband, The Departed), and Yaya DaCosta (In Time, TRON: Legacy).

Here's the official synopsis, followed by the exclusive debut of the poster artwork:

In a misguided attempt to protect his family and pay back gambling debts to the local Mobster, Jimbo robs a fish market, which is coincidentally owned by the same Mobster. On the run, Jimbo is cornered in a local curio shop, where he takes hostage an assortment of colorful characters, including Maguire, who may be his illegitimate father. Surrounded by the Police, the SAS, and the Mobster's crew, the young man must find a way out of his precarious predicament with the help of his oddball captives.

Stand Off will be available via VOD on January 22nd, followed by a theatrical release on February 22nd.  The DVD will then be on shelves starting March 26th.
