Here's what's known about the film's plot: An ex-cop-turned-con threatens to jump to his death from a Manhattan hotel rooftop. The NYPD dispatches a female police psychologist to talk him down but, unbeknownst to the cops on the scene, the suicide attempt is a cover for a massive diamond heist.
No word on which character Mackie is playing, though I'm guessing it's not the female police psychologist. (An educated guess, that.)
Asger Leth, whose only previous directorial credit is the 2006 documentary Ghosts of Cité Soleil, is at the helm for the thriller, which is being made by Summit Entertainment (Twilight) and producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura (G.I. Joe).
There must be an easier way to distract the cops from your diamond heist, no?
