Worthington will play an ex-cop who threatens to jump off the ledge of a building, and Bell will play his brother, who organizes a diamond heist while the cops are distracted. Mackie will play Worthington's ex-partner.

The other main role in the film, that of a female psychologist who tries to talk Worthington off the ledge, has still yet to be cast, although Deadline.com reports that Amy Adams (Enchanted) is circling the project, although a deal is not yet in place. If she does join, this would be quite a cast!

Shooting on Man on a Ledge will begin this November in New York City.

The story begins when an ex-cop-turned-con threatens to jump to his death from a Manhattan hotel rooftop. The NYPD dispatches a female police psychologist to talk him down but, unbeknownst to the cops on the scene, the suicide attempt is a cover for a massive diamond heist.
