While plot details on the notoriously secretive Malick film have been quite sketchy up until now, Fox Searchlight describes the film as the impressionistic story of a Midwestern family in the 1950s chronicling the journey of an eldest son (played as an adult by Penn) from childhood to his disillusioned adult years, trying to reconcile the complicated relationship with is father (Pitt).
Summit is handling international sales for the epic period film... No specific release date has been set, but cinephiles are drooling at the prospect of a new Malick flick. Me included. (The reclusive auteur's last film, The New World came out in 2005.)
What's your favorite Malick film? The Thin Red Line? Badlands? Days of Heaven?
