Edgar Wright's Arthurian Quest: 'The World's End' Featurettes & PSA

The only effective inoculation for royal baby fever is The World's End.  Luckily for Britons, the conclusion to the Cornetto Trilogy is has been playing in UK cinemas for more than a week.

Here in the colonies, where residual prince mania is still being felt, we have to wait until August 23rd for The World's End.  We do have a few samples of the film to help relieve symptoms of royal baby fever, with two featurettes and a public service announcement by Edgar Wright, Simon Pegg, and Nick Frost.

The trio – going together like bread, peanut butter, and jelly since Spaced in 1999 – are currently traipsing around the States on the North American leg of their World's End promotional tour.  Hopefully their adventure will lead to another Fuzball Rally-type doc, complete with more cake-flushing.*

But I digress.  On to the featurettes.  The first is broader, running through the premise, some new footage, and thematic connections to Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz.  The second is more specific, breaking down each of the major characters played by Pegg, Frost, Rosamund Pike, Paddy Considine, Martin Freeman, and Eddie Marsan.  It's good and revealing stuff, giving a feel for what all of these tremendous actors bring to this quest of a pub crawl.

And here's the latest "Don't Talk or Text During the Movie" PSA from the good folks at the Alamo Drafthouse:

It would be worth royal birth mania to have seen The World's End, wouldn't it?
