Last year, Tom Hanks presented the award for Best Picture at the Oscar ceremony, and the Academy has officially confirmed that he’ll be back in as a presenter for the 83^rd Annual Academy Awards on February 27^th.

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Science have announced the nominees for this year’s 83rd Annual Academy Awards. The King’s Speech celebrated with 12 nominations making it the one film to beat this year with the most nominations. Not surprisingly, the Academy gave True Grit 10 nominations after being completely shut out of the Golden Globes, let’s face it; American’s still love a good western. The Social Network and Inception followed closely behind with an impressive 8 nominations each.
