Catfish truly is the film that everyone is talking about. The New York Times calls it "one of the most intriguing films of the year!" There is still time to check it out in theaters.
If you have seen the film, consider sharing your Catfish stories here. We want to hear from you!
Catfish.
The other Facebook movie is causing quite a stir. With critics and with preview audiences alike, many are discovering this little gem of a flick.
What it is about is simply a young man pursuing a friendship online. This in itself is a dangerous thing. Yet the movie is not what you’d expect.
iamROGUE.com recently spoke to the filmmakers Rel Schulman and Henry Joost. Along for the ride is Rel’s brother and star of Catfish Nev Schulman, the young man who they follow as he finds out about this group of Facebook friends he has discovered. Or more appropriately, has discovered him.
Catfish, "the riveting story of love, deception and grace within a labyrinth of online intrigue," is opening in limited release on September 17th in New York, Los Angeles, Austin and San Francisco. Unfortunately if you don’t live in one of those 4 cities, you’ll have to wait a bit longer to see the mysterious film.
While you wait, we’re asking for your help deciding what cities to expand it to after the 17th.
Phil De Franco: "What JAWS did for sharks - CATFISH will do the same for FACEBOOK. If you watch it, you will see!" That is quite a claim coming from one of the biggest YouTube Stars right now!
