Relativity Media's take on the famous Grimm fairy tale of Snow White now has an official title, after months of being referred to simply as The Untitled Snow White Project.  From the get-go, this film has had a whole lot going for it, including Tarsem Singh, a visionary director perfectly suited to provide a stunning new take on the material, and a cast that includes Lily Collins as Snow White, Julia Roberts as the Evil Queen, Armie Hammer as Prince Andrew Alcott, Sean Bean as the King, and the invaluable Nathan Lane as the servant Brighton.  Now it has a title to match the promise of its director and cast, as Relativity has announced that the film is titled Mirror Mirror, a reference that any fan of the story will immediately recognize.

Reimagining a familiar and enduring fairy tale as a film requires both a novel approach to the story and a distinctive visual style for the screen.  Relativity Media's Untitled Snow White Project cleverly reconfigures the story as a comedic adventure and will certainly have a style all its own thanks to the direction of Tarsem Singh, a peerless visual composer.  The film, which stars Julia Roberts, Lily Collins, and Armie Hammer, is set to begin production in Montreal, Canada on Monday next week, en route to a Spring 2012 release date.

Director Tarsem Singh is a proven creator of powerful, meticulously detailed images and worlds, so it's a given that his as-yet untitled take on Snow White will be a fresh, singular take on a beloved fairy tale.  The film won't have to rely exclusively on its visuals, however, as Singh has gathered a dynamic cast, fronted by Julia Roberts as the Evil Queen, Lily Collins as Snow White herself, and Armie Hammer as Prince Alcott.  Now, Relativity Media has announced that Nathan Lane and Robert Emms will play supporting roles in the Snow White reimagining.

If passed, the bill would increase tax credits for shooting in Hawaii substantially, and lead to the construction of two separate $200 million production complexes in the 50th state led by Ryan Kavanaugh's Relativity Media and Steve Bing's Shangri-La Business Group. Watch the two videos below about the film incentive program and hear celebrities like Bradley Cooper, Ashley Tisdale and Adrien Brody say, "Aloha" to the bill.
