A new international trailer for Magic Mike is now online, and it gives us a better idea of just what's at the heart of Steven Soderbergh's sweaty, humorous drama loosely based on the real-life experiences of erstwhile male stripper/current movie star Channing Tatum.

So far, the promotional campaign for Prometheus has proven remarkably adept at playing it mysterious, providing tantalizing clues and glimpses at the film's interstellar horrors.  The approach has worked tremendously well, and today, a new international trailer doesn't ruin that sense of mystery or anything, but the three-minute trailer definitely shows off a lot of new Prometheus imagery, including our first look at some creature designs.  It's another outstanding trailer, but if you want to be surprised in the theater, then just skip this latest epic trailer.

Yesterday, a new domestic trailer for G.I. Joe: Retaliation dropped plenty of quips, lots of action, and the utter devastation of London thanks to some insidious Cobra machinations.  Today, Paramount Pictures has followed up that theatrical trailer with an international version that actually changes it up a bit.  Those G.I. Joe elements are still present, but there are fewer quips and considerably more ninjas doing ninja stuff.

The upcoming theatrical revival of Dark Shadows is indeed a comedy, but as a new minute-long international TV spot makes abundantly clear, it is very much the Johnny Depp show.  International Movie Star Depp plays Barnabas Collins, a role originated by the recently departed Jonathan Frid, and though Dark Shadows is populated by all manner of odd characters, it's clearly the vampire Barnabas who has the run of this particular show, a comedic update of the television series that ran from 1966-1971.

Last month, our first look at footage from Cosmopolis was but a meager offering, a thirty four-second glimpse at director David Cronenberg's adaptation of the novel by literary asskicker Don DeLillo.  Today, though, there's an embarrassment of riches, as we have not one, but two exceedingly stylish theatrical trailers for Cosmopolis.

New The Amazing Spider-Man stuff now!  With an already ubiquitous marketing campaign, Marvel Studios and Disney have whipped up The Avengers fever, but Sony Pictures is looking to remind audiences that this summer also sees a new theatrical outing from arguably Marvel's most popular comic book character.  That's why today we've got an international trailer for The Amazing Spider-Man, along with a new poster, and standee art that will soon be popping up in the lobby of a theater near you.

The first look at actual footage from Cosmopolis has arrived online in the form of a quick international trailer clocking in at just thirty-four seconds.  In that time, the trailer covers plenty of not-safe-for-work ground in frenetic fashion.  Over a career that has seen the likes of The Fly, Crash (the 1996 one), and A History of Violence, director David Cronenberg has established a fascination with sex and splattery, horrifically abrupt violence.  Both are on display in this brief French trailer.  Subtitles en francais, too.

The incredible domestic trailer for Prometheus that premiered over the weekend concludes with Michael Fassbender's character, David, saying, "Big things have small beginnings."  He might as well have been talking about the film's marketing.  20th Century Fox has kept an exceptionally tight lid on Ridley Scott's oh-so mysterious Alien prequel for more than a year, but with less than three months until release, the floodgates have opened in spectacular fashion.

From here through the first week of May, news on The Avengers isn't likely to let up one bit, as Marvel Studios is set to aggressively pimp its biggest movie yet.  If you're already sold on the blockbuster team-up and are thusly wary of hitting a saturation point with spoilery new material, best to just bow out now, because a new international trailer sort of spoils a few fun beats in the film that we hadn't glimpsed until now.

At the end of last year, a domestic trailer introduced the theatrical The Three Stooges to America, and the response ranged, "Oh, uh, okay" to "Oh, no."  Now a new international trailer has arrived online with lots of new footage from Peter Farrelly and Bobby Farrelly's dream project, which they've been trying to get off the ground for years.  Unfortunately it will do nothing to persuade anybody presaging doom for the film, though it does go out of its way to establish a plot.
