Rogue of the Week: Zach Galifianakis

It’s hard not to be excited by the success of Zach Galifianakis.

This is the guy that does and says what he pleases. He doesn’t look like the stud of the month and he certainly won’t pretend to be. He’ll do a movie like Into the Wild and then blow everybody away with The Hangover.

Zach is comfortable with who he is. He is old enough to know better than most of the wannabe stars and he doesn’t care.

“There's more to life than being an actor in a Hollywood movie. I'm not going to adapt my life after that existence, where a lot of people do. And they get the publicist, and they get all that stuff, and it becomes them. I think it's a stupid way to live your life. A really dumb way to live your life.”, he claimed in an interview with GQ Magazine in 2009… (thanks to IMDB for the quote)!

This is not your typical Hollywood success story. Yet he is one of the most famous guys working today. His latest feature is Due Date, starring opposite Robert Downey Jr. who is arguably one of the biggest stars in the world.

The difference is Mr. Galifianakis worked damn hard to get where he is at now. It wasn’t because of how trendy or how muscular he was or who he was sleeping with (at least I don’t think so). He made it because he is funny as hell and extremely talented.

He is hilarious, charismatic and he doesn’t give a damn! He even (allegedly) got Mel Gibson removed from The Hangover 2! Who has that power?!? It looks like Zach does. That is why he is our Rogue of the Week!

Will you be seeing Due Date this weekend?
