Mila Kunis

What is it to be ROGUE in Hollywood? In a town that rewards frequent trips to rehab with fame, I think remaining grounded is the most rogue quality a young starlet can possess. If so, then Mila Kunis is definitely our ROGUE OF THE WEEK.

At 27, Kunis has already enjoyed a prolific and enviable TV and film career. Yet, she still remains one of the funniest, most intriguing and most down-to-earth young stars around. I can’t think of another young starlet besides Mila that – after playing the same role for 8 years (on That 70s Show) – has excelled playing a myriad of characters in a myriad of genres, all while being able to poke fun at herself.

Kunis’s latest, Black Swan, is one such gem in her career. Given the dark subject matter of the film and the strenuous diet to which she had to adhere, one would think Kunis would have quickly lost her humorous outlook and have given in to the demons and vices of Hollywood.

But, no – Kunis remarked, “I could see why this industry is so f--ked up, because at 95 pounds, I would literally look at myself in the mirror and I was like, Oh my God! I had no shape, no boobs, no ass… All you saw was bone. I was like, this looks gross.” She subsequently joked about eating enough food to get back to her normal weight in a mere 5 days. You have to admire a girl that can openly discuss such a taboo media topic without a second thought…

So here’s to you, Mila Kunis, for being able to laugh at yourself and balance your serious roles with projects like Family Guy, Forgetting Sarah Marshall, and the upcoming Friends with Benefits (opposite Justin Timberlake). You keep those waifs in Hollywood on their toes, and we salute you for it!

Which Mila Kunis role is your favorite?
