Michael Douglas

When Michael Douglas took on Gordon Gekko in Oliver Stone’s hit Wall Street, he commanded the screen. The role won him an Oscar and started him on a string of hit features. Before that, he made every single married man think twice about having an affair in Fatal Attraction. Lest we forget his own exciting action hero contribution alongside Kathleen Turner in Romancing the Stone.

Douglas has been a hard working actor since the late Sixties and he is still choosing interesting work, most recently Solitary Man and of course, the upcoming sequel Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps, but that is not what makes him Rogue of the Week

He has recently faced his toughest challenge. On August 16, he announced that he was battling stage four throat cancer. Since then he has been fighting this battle with chemotherapy and radiation. And on last night’s “Late Show with David Letterman”, Michael spoke to the host about the disease and what he has been going through.

As an actor, Mr. Douglas has always taken his work seriously. He has the ability to tale on any role, add his own style and truly make it his own.

We here at iamROGUE are rooting for Michael and we’re looking forward to seeing what Mr. Gekko has been up to when “Money Never Sleeps” arrives at a theatre near you.
