If you’ve ever wanted to read the personal letters of Beatles musician John Lennon, written to newspapers, musical associates, friends, and fans, then I know what to get you for Christmas in 2012.  Popeater reports that a collection of letters written by the Eggman himself will be published by Orion in October next year.

So today the spark of a rumor hit and pretty much immediately started the flames of wild speculation.  That rumor: super-mega-movie-star-and-one-half-of-a-crazy-famous-couple Brad Pitt is looking to play the late music giant John Lennon.  The Daily Star reported today that Pitt has been in talks for the role, in a film he would likely produce through his Plan B production company, and that he has already received the blessing of Yoko Ono.  This is the part of the story where I do my part to fan the flames of hysterical Internet speculation.  I just heard, from a cat who is in a position to actually know such things (unlike myself; I’m eating Cheez-Its and drinking Big K soda right now) that this mysterious Lennon project already has a green-light, as in, it’s going to happen, and it’s going to happen right quick.
