That headline is not a figure of speech.  In Prince Avalanche, Paul Rudd and Emile Hirsch star as a pair of characters who spend a summer together painting yellow line after yellow line on a backwoods highway.

The first trailer for Prince Avalanche just meandered online, and it suggests that Rudd and Hirsch are going to do some truly excellent work in this odd little comedy-drama from director David Gordon Green.
