Scott Z. Burns (Screenwriter)

Scott Z. Burns is an LA-based writer, director and producer. Burns wrote the Golden Globe-nominated dark comedy The Infomant starring Matt Damon and directed by Steven Soderbergh, a Warner Bros. release in 2009. He co-wrote The Bourne Ultimatum, the 2007 Academy Award-winning action thriller from Universal starring Damon and directed by Paul Greengrass, which grossed over $442 million worldwide. Burns also wrote and directed the critically acclaimed HBO film PU-239, which was produced by Soderbergh and George Clooney. Burns produced Paramount Vantage’s Academy Award-winning documentary An Inconvenient Truth, along with Laurie David and Lawrence Bender.
