IAR VIDEO: Tina Fey, Ricky Gervais, Ty Burrell and the Muppets Talk 'Muppets Most Wanted'

Opening in theaters on March 21st is Muppets Most Wanted, which is a sequel to 2011’s The Muppets. The movie is was once again directed by James Bobin (Flight of the Conchords), based on a script by Bobin and returning screenwriter Nicolas Stoller (Forgetting Sarah Marshall), and features music by Bret McKenzie (Flight of the Conchords), who one an Academy Award for his work on the first film. Muppets Most Wanted stars Ricky Gervais (Night at the Museum), Tina Fey (Admission), and Ty Burrell (Mr. Peabody & Sherman), as well as Kermit the FrogMiss Piggy, Fozzie Bear, Sam the EagleAnimalRowlf the Dog, Gonzo the Great, Dr. Bunsen Honeydew and Beaker, The Swedish Chef, Scooter, Walter, Crazy Harry, Dr. Teeth and The Electric Mayhem, and introducing Constantine the World's Most Dangerous Frog. 

IAR's Managing Editor Jami Philbrick recently had the absolute pleasure of attending the Los Angeles press conference for Muppets Most Wanted (along with several other members of the media) and speaking with Ricky Gervais, who was accompanied by his co-stars Tina Fey, Ty Burrell, Kermit the Frog, Constantine, Sam the Eagle, and Miss Piggy. The cast discussed their new movie, their characters, singing and dancing, working with the Muppets, Kermit and Constantine's uncanny resemblance, Sam the Eagle's second job, and Kermit and Miss Piggy's famous love affair, while Philbrick asked Gervais if he were to do another season of his hit travel series An Idiot Abroad, which Muppet would he pair Karl Pilkington with to annoy Karl the most.

SYNOPSIS:

While on a grand world tour, The Muppets find themselves wrapped into an European jewel-heist caper headed by a Kermit the Frog look-alike (Constantine) and his dastardly sidekick (Gervais).

Muppets Most Wanted opens in theaters on March 21st.
