Premiering March 22nd on Starz is season two of the historical fantasy series Da Vinci's Demons from creator David S. Goyer (Blade, Batman Begins, Man of Steel). The show features an excellent cast that includes actor Tom Riley (A Few Days in September) as Leonardo da Vinci, as well as Laura Haddock (Captain America: The First Avenger), Blake Ritson (RocknRolla), Eros Vlahos (Anna Karenina), and Lara Pulver (Legacy)

IAR's Managing Editor Jami Philbrick recently had the pleasure of sitting down with series creator David S. Goyer to talk about his work on Da Vinci's Demons. The extremely successful writer and director discussed the second season of his popular series, what new mythology will be explored this season, his overall plan for the series, introducing Da Vinci's submarine, bring in Marvel comic book writers Matt Fraction (Hawkeye) and Jonathan Hickman (S.H.I.E.L.D.) to write an episode, and a possible third season, while Riley talked about playing an iconic historical character, season two's storyline, working on the submarine set, Fraction and Hickman's episodes, and why he likes collaborating with Goyer

The series follows the "untold" story of Leonardo Da Vinci (Riley), a genius living in Renaissance Florence. As a 25-year old artist, inventor, swordsman, lover, dreamer and idealist, he struggles to live within the confines of his won really and time as he begins to not only see the future, but invent it. 

Da Vinci's Demons season two premieres March 22nd on Starz.
