EXCLUSIVE VIDEO: Director Raymond De Felitta and Ray Romano Talk 'Rob the Mob'

Opening in New York theaters on March 21st and Los Angeles theaters on March 28th is the new crime drama Rob the Mob, which is based on a true story. The film was directed by Raymond De Felitta (City Island), and stars Michael Pitt (Seven Psychopaths), Nina Arianda (Midnight in Paris), Frank Whaley (The Freshman), Michael Rispoli (The Rum Diary), Cathy Moriarty (Raging Bull), Aida Turturro (Bringing Out The Dead), Burt Young (Rocky), Griffin Dunne (Movie 43), Ray Romano (Ice Age), and Andy Garcia (At Middleton). 

IAR's Managing Editor Jami Philbrick recently had the absolute pleasure of sitting down with director Raymond De Felitta and Ray Romano to talk about their work on Rob the Mob. The two Rays discussed their new film, Romano's excellent performance, how he prepared for his role, the true story the film is based on, why De Felitta chose to cast several actors who have previously appeared in mob movies, and working with newcomer Nina Arianda

SYNOPSIS:

A Queens couple (Pitt and Arianda) who specialize in robbing mafia social clubs stumble upon a score bigger than they could ever imagine, becoming targets of both the mob and the FBI in the process.

Rob the Mob opens in New York theaters on March 21st and Los Angeles theaters on March 28th.
