EXCLUSIVE VIDEO: Director Diego Luna Talks 'Cesar Chavez'

Opening in theaters on March 28th is the new biopic Cesar Chavez from actor turned director Diego Luna (Casa de Mi Padre). The film stars Michael Pena (End of Watch) in the title role, as well as America Ferrera (How to Train Your Dragon), Rosario Dawson (Gimme Shelter), Wes Bentley (The Hunger Games), Michael Cudlitz (Dark Tourist), Gabriel Mann (TV's Revenge), John Ortiz (Silver Linings Playbook), Julian Sands (The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo), and John Malkovich (RED 2). 

IAR's Managing Editor Jami Philbrick recently had the pleasure of sitting down with Diego Luna to talk about his work on Cesar Chavez. The actor turned director discussed his new film, what he learned from directing his first project that helped him on his second film, casting Michael Pena in the title role, why Luna did not want to play Cesar Chavez himself, and directing legendary actor and executive producer John Malkovich
