EXCLUSIVE VIDEO: Director Gareth Evans and Iko Uwais Talk 'The Raid 2'

Opening in theaters on March 28th is the new Indonesian action crime thriller The Raid 2, which is a sequel to the popular 2012 film The Raid: Redemption. The sequel is once again written and directed by Gareth Evans, and stars Iko Uwais reprising his role as SWAT member turned undercover cop Rama. 

IAR's Managing Editor Jami Philbrick recently had the pleasure of sitting down with writer/director Gareth Evans and martial arts actor Iko Uwais to talk about their work on The Raid 2. The filmmaker discussed his new movie, how the sequel is different from the original, his love for the Die Hard series, creating "Hammer Girl" and "Baseball Bat Man," and his ideas for a third movie, while Uwais talked about how Rama has changed since the first movie.

SYNOPSIS:

Only a short time after the first raid, Rama (Uwais)  goes undercover with the thugs of Jakarta and plans to bring down the syndicate and uncover the corruption within his police force.

The Raid 2 opens in theaters on March 28th.
