Opening in theaters on April 18th is the new film Small Time from writer and director Joel Surnow (Co-Creator of 24). The film stars Christopher Meloni (Man of Steel), Dean Norris (The Frozen Ground), Bridget Moynahan (I, Robot), Devon Bostick (The Art of the Steal), Amaury Nolasco (A Good Day to DIe Hard), Xander Berkeley (Transcendence), Garcelle Beauvais (Flight), Carlo Rota (Brick Mansions), and Gregory Itzin (The Ides of March).
IAR's Managing Editor Jami Philbrick recently had the pleasure of sitting down with writer and director Joel Surnow, Christopher Meloni, and Dean Norris to talk about their work on Small Time. The filmmaker and two actors discussed their new movie, the amount of 24 alumni in the film, casting, what attracted Meloni to the project, how Surnow based the story on his own relationship with his father, what Norris did to research his role as a used car salesman, and having fun on the set.
