EXCLUSIVE VIDEO: John Leguizamo Talks 'Chef'

Opening in theaters on May 9th is the new independent comedy from writer/director/actor Jon Favreau (Iron Man, Cowboys & Aliens) called Chef. In addition to Favreau, the film also stars Robert Downey Jr. (The Avengers), Scarlett Johansson (Captain America: The Winter Soldier), Sofia Vergara (Fading Gigolo), Amy Sedaris (Puss in Boots), John Leguizamo (Kick-Ass 2), Bobby Cannavale (Blue Jasmine), Oliver Platt (X-Men: First Class), and two-time Academy Award-winner Dustin Hoffman (All the President's Men, Wag the Dog).

IAR's New York Correspondent Justine Browning recently had the pleasure of sitting down with John Leguizamo to talk about his work on Chef. The accomplished actor and comedian discussed his new film, director Jon Favreau, why he is most proud of his theater career, what he thinks of Freak now being taught in College classes, and using a personal downward spiral to propel him creatively.

SYNOPSIS:

A chef (Favreau) who loses his restaurant job starts up a food truck in an effort to reclaim his creative promise, while piecing back together his estranged family.

Chef opens in theaters on May 9th.
