Currently playing in New York theaters and opening in Los Angeles theaters on May 30th is the new comedy The Discoverers from first time feature film writer and director Justin Schwarz. The film stars actor/director Griffin Dunne (An American Werewolf in London, Movie 43), Madeleine Martin (TV's Californication), Devon Graye (TV's Dexter), Stuart Margolin (Kelly's Heroes), John C. McGinley (Office Space), David Rasche (Burn After Reading), and Ann Dowd (Garden State).

IAR's Managing Editor Jami Philbrick recently had the absolute pleasure of sitting down with the great Griffin Dunne at the legendary Chateau Marmont hotel in Hollywood to talk about his new film The Discoverers, as well as show business, and why he's especially proud of directing Fierce People. The veteran actor and director discussed his new movie, choosing projects to act in, balancing the script's humor and sadness, the title's double meaning, having his own daughter (Hannah Dunne) appear in the film, working with first time writer/director Justin Schwarz, separating "actor Griffin Dunne" from "director Griffin Dunne," how show business has changed since he first began in the industry almost 40 years ago, and why his 2005 directorial effort Fierce People is the project he is most proud of.
