Opening in theaters on July 18th is the new comedy from director Jake Kasdan (Bad Teacher) entitled Sex Tape. The film stars Jason Segel (The Muppets), Cameron Diaz (In Her Shoes), Rob Corddry (Warm Bodies), Ellie Kemper (Bridesmaids), Nat Faxon (The Way Way Back), and Rob Low (I Melt with You).

IAR's Managing Editor Jami Philbrick recently had the pleasure of sitting down with director Jake Kasdan to talk about his work on Sex Tape, as well as the status of Bad Teacher 2, his father's upcoming project Star Wars: Episode VII, and the legacy of Silverado. The talented filmmaker discussed his new movie, receiving the script from Jason Segel, reuniting with Segel and Cameron Diaz after Bad Teacher, what they bring to a project, navigating the film's R rating, the perfect running time, the comedic genius of Rob Lowe, how the actor invented the celebrity sex tape, if his father (Lawrence Kasdan) has told him about his plans for the upcoming Star Wars sequels, and why his dad's movie Silverado is one of the top three Westerns of all-time.
