Opening in theaters on August 22nd is the new drama Love Is Strange from director Ira Sachs (Married Life). The film stars Academy Award-nominee John Lithgow (Rise of the Planet of the Apes, Shrek), Alfred Molina (Spider-Man 2, Raiders of the Lost Ark), Cheyenne Jackson (United 93), Charlie Tahan (Frankenweenie), and Academy Award-winner Marisa Tomei (The Ides of March, My Cousin Vinny).

IAR's Managing Editor Jami Philbrick recently had the absolute pleasure of sitting down with the great John Lithgow to talk about his work on Love Is Strange, as well as his upcoming film Interstellar. The Oscar-nominated actor discussed Love Is Strange, working with Alfred Molina, creating his character, director Ira Sachs' unique approach, playing the piano, Interstellar, being directed by Christopher Nolan, and making the two movies back to back.

After Ben (Lithgow) and George (Molina) get married, George is fired from his teaching post, forcing them to stay with friends separately while they sell their place and look for cheaper housing -- a situation that weighs heavily on all involved.

Love Is Strange opens in theaters on August 22nd.
