EXCLUSIVE VIDEO: Director James Wan and Writer Leigh Whannell Talk 'Saw' 10th Anniversary

Re-opening in theaters on Halloween, October 31st is the modern horror classic Saw, which was directed by James Wan (Insidious: Chapter 2) and writer Leigh Whannell (Insidious: Chapter 2). In addition to Whannell, the film also stars Cary Elwes (The Princess Bride), Michael Emerson (TV's Lost), Shawnee Smith (The Island), Monica Potter (Con Air), Dina Meyer (Starship Troopers), Benito Martinez (Bless Me, Ultima), Ken Leung (X-Men: The Last Stand), Danny Glover (Lethal Weapon series), and Tobin Bell (In the Line of Fire). 

IAR's Managing Editor Jami Philbrick recently had the pleasure of sitting down with James Wan and Leigh Whannell to talk about their work on Saw. The popular director and equally popular writer discussed their ground breaking movie, the legacy of Saw, how it changed the horror genre forever, its strong fanbase, marketing the project, what they set out to do, Tobin Bell's contributions, the rest of the sensational cast, why Cary Elwes decided to be in the film, and making Saw despite certain restrictions.

With a dead body lying between them, two men (Elwes and Whannell) wake up in the secure lair of a serial killer who's been nicknamed "Jigsaw" (Bell). The men must follow various rules and objectives if they wish to survive and win the deadly game set for them.
