Opening in theaters on November 7th is the new biopic from first time writer/director A.J. Edwards (To the Wonder) called The Better Angels. The film tells President Abraham Lincoln's origin story, and was produced by Edward's mentor - legendary director Terrence Malick (The Thin Red Line). The Better Angels stars an impressive cast that includes Jason Clarke (Zero Dark Thirty), Brit Marling (Sound of My Voice, The East), Diane Kruger (The Host), and Wes Bentley (The Time Being, The Hunger Games, There Be Dragons).

IAR's Managing Editor Jami Philbrick recently had the absolute pleasure of sitting down with Jason Clarke, Brit Marling, and Wes Bentley to talk about their work on The Better Angels. The three excellent actors discussed their new movie, working with first time writer/director A.J. Edwards, being reassured by the involvement of his mentor Terrence Malick, the film's '70s style, Nancy Lincoln's strong religious beliefs, researching their roles, and why they just don't make movies like this anymore.
