Opening in theaters on December 5th is the new romantic comedy Life Partners, which was written by Susanna Fogel (TV's Chasing Life) and Joni Lefkowitz (TV's Joni & Susanna), and directed by Fogel. The film stars Gillian Jacobs (Bad Milo!Seeking a Friend for the End of the World), Leighton Meester (The Judge), Adam Brody (The Oranges), Gabourey Sidibe (Tower Heist), Beth Dover (TV's Newsreaders), Abby Elliott (TV's Saturday Night Live), Kate McKinnon (TV's Saturday Night Live), and Mark Feuerstein (In Her Shoes).

IAR's Managing Editor Jami Philbrick recently had the pleasure of sitting down with Gillian Jacobs and Leighton Meester about their work on Life Partners. The two lovely and talented actresses discussed their new movie, why it's relatable, what intrigued them about their characters, director Susanna Fogel's goals for the project, working with Fogel, and what they are looking for from a director on set.

SYNOPSIS:

Sasha (Meester) and Paige's (Jacobs) co-dependent friendship is tested as Paige gets serious with a guy (Brody) for the first time.

Life Partners opens in theaters on December 5th.
