EXCLUSIVE VIDEO: Director Ciaran Foy Talks 'Citadel'

Opening in Los Angeles theaters on November 16th is a new horror thriller from writer/director Ciaran Foy (Hotel Darklight) called Citadel. The film features an excellent cast of actors that includes Aneurin Banard (Ironclad), Amy Shiels (Veronica Guerin), and James Cosmo (HBO's Game of Thrones).

IAR's Managing Editor Jami Philbrick recently had a chance to sit down with director Ciaran Foy to talk about Citadel. The writer/director discussed the new film, the real life experience that inspired the movie, living with agoraphobia, designing the film's creature, making the movie relatable for an audience, casting Scottish actor James Cosmo, and the movie's message of facing your own fears in order to make them to go away.

An agoraphobic father (Bernard) teams up with a renegade priest (Cosmo) to save his daughter from the clutches of a gang of twisted feral children who committed an act of violence against his family years earlier. 

Citadel opens in Los Angeles theaters on November 16th.
