Currently available on VOD and opening in theaters on November 30th is Universal Soldier: Day of Reckoning, which is the forth official film in the series following Universal Soldier: Regeneration and the first to be shot in 3D. The movie features returning franchise stars Jean-Claude Van Damme (Timecop) and Dolph Lundgren (Masters of the Universe), as well as new addition Scott Adkins (The Expendables 2).
IAR's Managing Editor Jami Philbrick recently had the absolute pleasure of sitting down with action legend Dolph Ludgren to talk about his work on Universal Soldier: Day of Reckoning, as well as his possible involvement in the proposed sequel The Expendables 3. The '80s icon discussed his new film, returning to the franchise, developing the script with writer/director John Hyams, funding the film himself along with Van Damme, choreographing the fight scenes with Scott Adkins, The Expendables 3, casting Nicolas Cage in the third installment, why Sean Connery couldn't be in The Expendables 2, if Lundgren will return for the upcoming movie, and the process in which Sylvester Stallone has developed the franchise.

John (Adkins) looks to take down Luc Deveraux (Van Damme) after a home invasion claims his wife and daughter. The fight pits John against Andrew Scott (Lundgren) and an army of genetically enhanced warriors; meanwhile, he must contend with a UniSol in relentless Pursuit.
