Opening in theaters on January 11th is the new spoof film A Haunted House, which parodies the "found footage" horror genre. The movie was co-written by Scary Movie creator Marlon Wayans, and in addition to Wayans features Essence Atkins (Dance Flick), Cedric the Entertainer (Larry Crowne), Affion Crockett (Never Back Down), Nick Swardson (30 Minutes of Less), and David Koechner (Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy).
IAR's Managing Editor Jami Philbrick recently had the pleasure of sitting down with writer and actor Marlon Wayans, as well as actress Essence Atkins to talk about their work on A Haunted House. The two performers discussed their new film, what it was like for Wayans to return to the horror-spoof genre that he helped create, how horror movies have changed since Scary Movie, making a "found-footage" comedy, how Atkins felt about reuniting with Wayans, acting in a broad comedy, "found footage" porno, the film's use of male nudity, and comedian Nick Swardson's weird ass.

Malcolm (Wayans) and Keisha (Atkins) move into their dream house, but soon learn a demon also resides there. When Keisha becomes possessed, Malcolm - determined to keep his sex life on track - turns to a priest (Cedric the Entertainer), a psychic (Swardson), and a ghost-buster (Koechner) for help.
