Opening in theaters on July 3rd is the highly-anticipated action adventure western The Lone Ranger, which is based on the American Old West character serials of the same name. The film was produced by Jerry Bruckheimer, and directed by Gore Verbinski, the team behind the first Pirates of the Caribbean trilogy. The Lone Ranger stars Armie Hammer (Mirror Mirror) in the title role, and Johnny Depp (The Rum Diary) as his faithful sidekick Tonto. The film also features an excellent cast that includes Ruth Wilson (BBC's Luther), William Fichtner (The Dark Knight), James Badge Dale (Iron Man 3), Barry Pepper (True Grit), Tom Wilkinson (Batman Begins), Stephen Root (Office Space), Damon Herriman (J. Edgar), newcomer Bryant Prince, and Helena Bonham Carter (Les Miserables).
IAR's Managing Editor Jami Philbrick recently attended the premiere of The Lone Ranger at Disney's California Adventure and spoke to several of the film's cast and crew, as well as a few famous fans about the new movie. While on the red carpet Philbrick had a chance to chat with super-producer Jerry Bruckheimer, the film's stars - Armie Hammer, Ruth Wilson, Stephen Root, Damon Herriman, and Bryant Prince, as well as actor Kim Coates (Sons of Anarchy), Actress/Reality TV star Lisa Rinna (Celebrity Apprentice), and even Fake Johnny Depp.
