EXCLUSIVE VIDEO: Peter Sarsgaard Talks Woody Allen's 'Blue Jasmine'

Opening in New York and Los Angeles on July 26th is the new film from Academy Award-winning director Woody Allen called Blue Jasmine. The movie features an eclectic cast of actors that includes Oscar-winner Cate Blanchett (The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey), Alec Baldwin (The Departed), Sally Hawkins (An Education), Andrew Dice Clay (The Adventures of Ford Fairlane), Bobby Cannavale (Win Win), Louis C.K. (TV's Louie), Peter Sarsgaard (Green Lantern), Michael Stuhlbarg (Hitchcock), and Alden Ehrenreich (Beautiful Creatures). 

IAR's Managing Editor Jami Philbrick recently had the pleasure of sitting down with Peter Sarsgaard to talk about his work on Blue Jasmine. The acclaimed actor discussed the new film, what it's like on a Woody Allen set, working with the iconic filmmaker, his lack of direction, Cate Blanchett's impressive performance, watching her have a nervous breakdown while filming, the movie's fantastic cast, and sharing a scene with legendary stand-up comedian Andrew Dice Clay

SYNOPSIS:

A life crisis causes a woman (Blanchett) to head to San Francisco, where she reconnects with her sister (Hawkins).

Blue Jasmine opens in New York and Los Angeles on July 26th.
