Opening in theaters on October 18th is the supernatural horror film Carrie, which is a re-imaging of the classic Brian De Palma movie based on the novel of the same name by Stephen King. The new film was directed by Kimberly Peirce (Boys Don't Cry), and stars an excellent cast that includes Chloe Grace Moretz (Kick-Ass 2), Judy Greer (Jeff, Who Lives at Home), Gabriella Wilde (The Three Musketeers), Portia Doubleday (Youth in Revolt), Ansel Elgort (Divergent), Alex Russell (Chronicle), Barry Shabaka Henley (Collateral), and Academy Award-nominee Julianne Moore (What Maisie Knew).

IAR's Managing Editor Jami Philbrick recently had the pleasure of sitting down with Chloe Grace Moretz to talk about her work on Carrie. The talented young actress discussed her new film, taking on such an iconic role, why the character has stayed popular for so long, Carrie's strange relationship with her mother, what Moretz learned from working with Julianne Moore, shooting the movie's infamous shower and prom scenes, the importance of rehearsal time, collaborating with director Kimberly Peirce, and which celebrities she thinks Philbrick resembles.
