Former legendary glam-rock outfit Queen lead guitarist and current astrophysicist Brian May reports that the screenplay for the biopic of late frontman Freddy Mercury has been turned in. The film does not yet have a director, but it does have a script by Peter Morgan (Frost/Nixon, Hereafter) and Sacha Baron Cohen, of Borat and Ali G fame, set to play Mercury.
Borat star Sacha Baron Cohen will be putting his wacky antics aside to play Freddie Mercury in a biopic about the Queen frontman, reports Deadline.com. Oscar nominee Peter Morgan (The Queen, Frost/Nixon) is writing the flick, which will be produced by GK Films (The Departed).
